The Truth Project

Are you a victim or a survivor of  childhood sexual abuse? Would you like to be heard?

Then have a look at the Truth Project!

This project was set up in order to encourage victims and survivors of childhood sexual abuse to be able to share their story in a confidential but supportive way, if they wish to, and is part of the Independent Inquiry into Childhood Sexual Abuse (IICSA.) By sharing your experiences, you can contribute to the enquiry as well as being able to contribute towards the protection of children of the future.

Details of how this works and more information can be found at https://www.truthproject.org.uk – contact can be made using the online form (which doesn’t require disclosure of details at the initial stage), via telephone, email or in writing. There’s also a section for your support and wellbeing, which also provides details of other organisations who may be able to provide support (in addition to us of course!)

If you aren’t sure if this is for you, there is also part of the site which looks at making your decision and some of the factors to consider before committing to sharing your story.

We do have some literature available at the centre for those who would prefer it – just get in touch via the helpline and we will gladly send this to you. Whatever you decide, be assured that sarac is always here to listen.
